Make has the details of an event at Maker Faire that resonates with my recent discussion of Adam Harvey’s thesis work. Maker Faire will be May 22-23 in San Mateo, CA and the fashion show will be organized by San Francisco’s hacker space, Noisebridge. It is open to the serious and the playful, sounds like a lot of fun. I hope Make or any other bloggers in attendance post some decent coverage of this event in particular.
Make’s post also embeds a bit of video that seems to debunk the notion of using IR LEDs to foil surveillance cameras. That was one of the suggestions I received in response to my write up of Harvey’s dazzle camouflage make up idea. Too bad the LEDs don’t seem to work as expected. Hopefully the fashion show will bear better fruit.
