It is about time. The fact that users of the vintage browser won’t be able to access Docs or Sites isn’t even the main focus. Security, especially the role of MSIE6 in the recent cyber attacks from China, is only part of the equation. As any web developer will tell you, MSIE6 consumes a disproportionate amount of time in testing and developing hacks and workarounds even in comparison to the still quirky but newer vintages of Microsoft’s browser.
