TCLP 2009-04-22 Interview: Jonathan Zittrain

This is a feature cast.

In the intro I point out that I have been using Herdict Web for a while now.  I encourage you to check it out, as well.  This is one of the projects Prof. Zittrain has started to tackle the challenges discussed in his book.

Listener Feedback this week is from Nido who sent a link to the Hacking at Random 2009 event coming up in The Netherlands in August.  There’s plenty of time to plan if this is within reasonable travel distance and looks like a great hacker gathering.  They also have an audio promo, which I share, that has all the details.

The hacker word of the week this week is DWIM.

The feature this week is an interview with Harvard Law professor, Jonathan Zittrain, where we discuss his latest book, “The Future of the Internet and How to Stop It“, as well as his work more generally.  I mentioned a TED talk given by Clay Shirky during the interview but in searching for the link I was clearly thinking of Shirky’s Web 2.0 Expo talk.  Both talks are worth checking out.
