This week’s security alerts are a severe bug in the G1 and more research on cracking WPA at least partially.

In this week’s news new version of the GNU Free Document License would allow Wikipedia to re-license under a CC license which may yield more freedom than GFDL, Diebold being sued for a GPL violation, Android based G1 is jail broken then re-jailed by Google, and new research disputing the Long Tail model with a response from its author.

Following up this week FCC approves white spaces for unlicensed use and the WIPO broadcast treaty is back though no imminent threat.
