In this week’s intro, a review of the card game, Fluxx. Also, I will be on the next episode of The Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy. Tee Morris is a good friend and had me on to discuss getting back on the horse, as a write, among other things.

I did not mention in the audio, but meant to, that I will not be at this month’s DC CopyNight, which will be held at Teaism on the 27th. I am looking into going to DorkbotDC instead, on the 29th.

This week’s security alerts include a practical demonstration of MD hash collisions and using Google as a massive pre-compute table for hashes.

In this week’s news, discussing the unintended consequences of technology on distance and communications for good and ill, with the first beta of Firefox 3 available some discussion of code quality and the release plan, the state of Maryland (my home state) enacts a tax on IT services, and mapping the brains connections faster.

Following up this week, California is suing the e-voting vendor ES&S and the SFLC is pressing two more GPL suits on behalf of the BusyBox project.
