TCLP 2007-04-18 CopyNight (Comment Line 360-252-7284)

This episode is a feature cast.

The only feature, a long one coming in at around forty minutes, is a recording from the last DC CopyNight. That session was special in that it was held at Public Knowledge, down in the district, and some of their staffers, Alex and Sherwin, spoke a bit at the begging about the Faire USE Act to get things rolling. Despite the crummy audio, a consequence of not having a second mic to fully cover a very long conference table, the content of the discussion is fairly typical for our local CopyNight.

  1. I am a bit nervous about the audio quality. The mic situation was not ideal but the only omnidirectional mics I have would not have done any better. The table was just too big. If you can get through the introductions, which Levelator clobbered but I didn’t want to cut with so many voices, the rest of it is a bit better.

I think my next audio purchases will be a pair of powered omni mics for use with the portable recording so I can cover both interviews and group settings in the future.
