Well, shoot. I just finished recording and exporting the show and realized I forgot a piece. Unfortunately, if I added this in, it would push an hour long show just a bit longer than I would like. I don’t have much to say about Cringley’s interesting solution to network neutrality, though, so figured I’d share here, for those that read the blog.
I think his suggestion of individuals owning their own last mile is quite good, actually. Well, it isn’t technically his, but his article is where I read about it, so there. I think it addresses my constant concerns about consumer choice quite neatly. Sadly, I think the ILECs would have to self- destruct before this ever became a reality. Just go Google about municipal wifi in Philadelphia to see what I mean.
