TCLP 2012-09-17 News

This is a news cast, an episode of The Command Line Podcast.

I wanted to share some further reflections from friends of mine for anyone who enjoyed the discussion of Valerie Aurora’s post in the last news cast. The first is from Quinn Norton, the second from Dr. Pamela Gay.

I also wanted to let folks know that the next podcast is not likely to hit the feeds until October 8th due to upcoming travel. Stay tuned to the site and my social network feeds for news of anything I manage to pull together before then. Next week I will be in Cambridge, MA and the week after I return to Brussels, Belgium.

This week’s security alerts are an NFC token for Android smartphones and hiding a phish site in just a link.

In this week’s news, discovering and understanding the “anternet”, six home truths about rock star developers, 1 million Apple UDID’s leaked by hacker group though claimed source and Apple deny involvement, and asking whether robots should get rights.

Following up this week interactive cubes get touch screen and Mozilla retires Firefox Home app for iOS.
