In this week’s news, UCLA is the latest school to offer a digital humanities program (similar to MITH at UMD with its great speaker series), a stone-like optical disc that might last forever, breakthrough in portal and high resolution 3D scanning, and IBM CTO argues the PC is in decline.

Following up this week Google aids Bletchley Park again and Google brings Android App Inventor to an end.
