Cory shared this story on Boing Boing. His plan is certainly ambitious, nothing less than running a distributed intelligence on the Second Life grid. Another novel aspect is that the project is open for all to participate, utilizing a shared task list and chat to coordinate efforts.
I’d be interested in more detail, whether this is in any way related to MIT’s renewed commitment to AI or will draw from or contribute to any of those projects.
