Data Privacy Day

Bruce Schneier mentioned Data Privacy Day, though you aren’t expected to know how he is celebrating. Clicking through to the website for the day reveals it is intended to advance discourse on all sides around appropriate handling of our private data. The site also have links to resources, both for media and educational, events, and ways to get involved.

I wish I had known about this a bit earlier. For the rest of the year, the main sponsor is Privacy Projects which looks to work on many of the activities set aside for today but in an ongoing capacity.
