ReadWriteWeb has the ho-hum details. Really, the only way in which this is remarkable is it may be a positive sign of competition in the space. If that is the case, if new entrants feel they can effectively make a run at Amazon, perhaps one of them may decide to do so without DRM, using fully open standards and file formats. I mean, in addition to the the somewhat unfocused Book Server project from the folks at the Internet Archive.
