Group Hacktivism in Protest of the UK Surveillance State

The Open Rights Group, of which I am a fan, and No2ID, a group that is attempting to resist consolidation of private identifying data about citizens into large state databases, are organizing a collaborative project to commemorate Freedom Not Fear Day 2008.

The details are at ORG but essentially they are asking for folks to contribute photos, via Flickr with a CC-BY license, and ORG and No2ID will construct a collage for the day. The photos should in some way capture the idea of the database state.

Seems like a clever way to raise conscious both passively and by direct participation.
