Is This Richard Cheese, NME Story Credible?

22 August, 2008 (17:12) | New Media | By: cmdln

Any of my podcast peers witness this story first hand at the NME this year? It does indeed seem pretty incredible that an independent creator involved with new media would have such an averse reaction to his audience generating content, and buzz, for him.

I wasn’t there, but I did see a couple of the videos from the event before some or all were taken down. I can tell you that at one point during the show, Cheese took a swig from his “martini” and spit it into the crowd (or perhaps at a single individual, unseen from the camera angle) and make a comment about turning the camera off.

In another video, as Cheese was preparing to sign autographs, an individual with a video camera approached him and asked if it was cool to film, then continued right on filming even after Cheese clearly said no.
