TuneCore Now Targets Amazon’s MP3 Service

1 October, 2007 (12:50) | Entertainment | By: cmdln

I actually saw this in a Guitar Center flyer that I received because of all the hardware I’ve purchased for podcasting. Guitar Center’s partner for publishing indie music, TuneCore, is now including Amazon’s new MP3 service. I know CDBaby includes a similar offering that hits iTunes as well as CD resellers. I hope CDBaby will also extend their offering to include the new store, this can only enhance both musician and consumer choice.

Thanks for noticing. We worked hard in September to get that up and running. In fact, we have revamped our entire back-end process to make delivery to all stores faster and better. Cheers!

My pleasure. I want to see more amateurs, in the sense of the word referring to those who do out of love, succeed. The easier and cheaper it is for independent creators to connect with new audiences, the better for everyone.

I love seeing outfits like you guys, CDBaby, and others build and support tools that allow indies to do so much more with less. And it lets them concentrate more on creating great stuff than worrying so much about distribution, among the tons of other things they need to do to succeed and keep creating.
