TCLP 2007-03-07 Mike Linksvayer (Comment Line 360-252-7284)

This episode is a feature cast.

The Hacker Word of the Week is can’t happen.

Last week Paul Fischer, from the ADDcast and the Balticon Podcast, sent in a couple of great questions about the recently announced Creative Commons license version 3.0 and the interaction between the Zune’s ad hoc DRM and CC licenses. I contacted the Creative Commons and managed to get their CTO, Mike Linksvayer, on the phone to answer Paul’s questions.

Mike sent along this great discussion of the Zune and CC and we discussed the mozCC extension for Firefox. Also, after I stopped recording, he mentioned Jamendo which is a music portal with a search by license feature like the one Flickr offers.
