State Right to Privacy Upheld

23 January, 2007 (16:18) | Hacktivism | By: cmdln

Wired has the story. All jokes about New Jersey aside, I am of mixed opinion on this one. I am encouraged that not only does this state have an institutional privacy right but also actively upholds it. But I am bothered by the inaccuracies in the judge’s ruling. I am not a lawyer but wonder if that could be enough of a basis for appeal. And even if it is not, I would prefer to see better technology education among those crafting, executing and testing the laws of the land, federal and local.
