The Challenge of Operational Support of Java

I’m beginning to like Tim O’Brien over at OnJava. This piece on the operational issues and challenges supporting Java is the only article I’ve seen cover these issues. It certainly matches my experiences over the years building enterprise Java applications specifically for managed hosting environments. And there are some reasonable discussions and tactics worth consideration. In my current employment, we are definitely getting closer to the more blended roles he discusses.
