Akai Co-exists with MPC Hacking

I wish there were more of these kinds of stories but am grateful for the positive examples the few there are do provide.

The market scenario, here, is pretty much perfect. I doubt Akai makes much, if anything off of direct sales of software for their MPC sequencers. It is particularly clueful of them to realize that anything that improves sales of their hardware, even at the expense of potential software sales, merely strengthens their sales overall.

I wish more vendors realized that an overly protective stance hurts them more than finding ways to really capitalize on what are ultimately just, perhaps, novel forms of opportunities.
