One security alert, just a warning that problems have been observed with tablet PCs and the latest version of Spybot.

The Hacker Word of the Week is BASIC.

In the news, the Hacker Profiling Project, Verizon may forfeit its common carrier status, yet another application of black lists, and a curious if perhaps naive span defense.

    Hey,

I’ve been listening to your show for at least a few months now and I want to say kudos for an excellent show. You do a good job of informational, sometimes academic podcasting without it becoming boring.

I don’t always agree with your political views (in particular, I think you’re a *bit* more paranoid than need be), but I always find them interesting food for thought.

    Keep up the good work,

    Yehuda

    Yehuda,

I’m not as paranoid as I may sound, not day to day. At least I don’t think so. However, condensing down the news and topics may bring it out more, just due to the brief, intense exposure to stories that on their own may be only mildly worrying. I am definitely cynical, that may be part of what you are picking up on, too.

    Thanks for listening!

Hey, I’m plenty cynical too :-D . Thank you for recording; your podcast has rapidly risen close to the top of my weekly podcast stack (and there are probably 15 or so podcasts I listen to throughout the week). Keep up the good work.
