Podcast #57

Nothing much in the intro other than a reminder that there will be no show next week and another request to consider making a donation, to fund next year’s travel.

The Hacker Word of the Week is Scratch Monkey.

In this week’s news, a presenter and private investigator was arrested by federal authorities at the HOPE conference, Hollywood teases us with less than satisfactory online movie offerings and DRM-free music, a superb discussion of performance in high-level and low-level programming languages, and the theses Martin Luther might have posted if he were alive today and a geek.

I also had follows up on last week’s discussion of the demise of Java and another qaulified commentator on Network Neutrality further highlights the legitimate dangers and ambiguities.

The feature this week is an Inner Chapter on Creativity.
